NCS has adopted a 1.15 Bat Performance Factor (BPF), as developed by Sports Science Inc. (SSI), as the standard for composite youth baseball bats used in NCS sanctioned play. NCS is announcing the creation of a new youth baseball bat stamp in collaboration with Sports Science Inc.

This initiative creates a new & additional platform for certifying youth baseball bats, making another option available to the ever changing youth baseball arena by breaking the long standing monopoly some organizations have demonstrated over the past decades.

As a National Youth Sports Organization, NCS is committed to promoting safe & competitive youth sports across the continental United States & Internationally. NCS has made it our mission to promote competitive youth sports, & ensuring fair play through rigorous standards. To this end, NCS has collaborated with Sports Science Inc. (SSI), founded & operated by Richard Brandt (PhD) -- the inventor & patent holder of the BPF 1.15 Bat Testing Protocol. Based in New York, SSI specializes in testing & certifying bats under the BPF Standards.

NCS endeavors to bring safe & high quality youth equipment to youth sports by announcing that the first youth baseball bat to receive the NCS Bat Stamp & Certification is the Black Emerald youth baseball bat. NCS is now promoting the Black Emerald youth baseball bat!
